Soweto Theatre began its exciting school setwork festival on 16 April and will end on 26 April.
This festival is the theatre’s initiative to incorporate dramatic arts and education together by showcasing the adaptation of the isiZulu book Ubhuku Lwamanqe which is read by all grade 12 leaners in Gauteng as their prescribed book in the curriculum.

Schools across Gauteng are invited to Soweto Theatre to witness this edutaining stage play and are also given an opportunity to ask questions after it ends. It is said that leaders learn better with visuals and this engaging enactment guarantees exactly that.

For those who haven’t read the book, the play is portrayed very well by young talented actors with a promising future in the world of art. It is easy to follow and very entertaining.
