Newzroom Africa reports poor service delivery in Mogale City

Residents of Kagiso have taken to the media to seek support regarding poor service delivery experienced in the township. It is reported that they wish to meet Mogale City Mayor Danny Thupane to engage him on the council’s development plan for Kagiso.

Newzroom Africa’s reporter Nqobile Madlala was at Kagiso talking to the residents about the different challenges they face. Some of the issues include:

Illegal dumping which attracts a lot of rats.

Potholes that damage vehicles.

Low water pressure.

Overgrown grass at the grave side.

A plea from the people of Kagiso is for the mayor to take time and visit the township, hear them out as well share his plans.

The municipality has responded saying that they are busy with a clean-up campaign and that the mayor is scheduled to be at Kagiso for a 3-day Intergrated Development Plan (IDP) engagement.

  1. This eminent drop of standards from the traditional rendering of timeous and qualitative services to our ANC-led wards in Kagiso especially, is in fact-and-proof a deliberate standoff gimmick waged by the ‘dwarf in power’ daring the status quo. It’s a David versus Goliath scenario, whereby vengeancè motivated traps and cap-in-hand survival deals are the order of the day at the unchallenged expense of our people. Why not? No consequence management. No mandate seeking. No work, no worry.
