ACDP urges communities to clean after themselves.

Members of the ACDP in Mogale City under the leadership of Cllr Lydia Lebesa took to cleaning a park in Sinqobile phase 2 which seemed to be neglected by the municipality for quite some time. This popular park is never without kids. It is attraction to children of all ages who love to enjoy it mostly after school and on weekends.

The problem was that it was growing long grass, had broken bottles, and was almost becoming a dumping site like the open space opposite it. It was allegedly on its way to endangering kids in the community. The ACDP decided to make it its Wednesday project to clean the park as part of their community work. They believe in the adage, “cleanliness is nest to godliness.”

Ma Kuki Joko explained the importance of this initiative by saying, “We must take care of the land. God wants to see that the environment we live in is clean and well taken care of. We are doing this not for us but to glorifying God for providing is with this land.”

The members urge community members to play their part in making Mogale City one of the cleanest cities in Gauteng.
