EFF Leader Julius Malema visits Kagiso in Mogale City.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF)party leader accompanied by some of his executive leadership addressed the residents of Mogale City at the EFF community meeting held at Chief Mogale Hall on Sunday 5 May.

The address was based on the issues and challenges faced by the residents of Mogale City from RDP houses to crime. The EFF says that 2024 is its 1994 alluding that change is coming and that people should be ready for its government.

Malema spoke about the wellbeing of disabled people outlining his plan for building well accommodating houses for them. “There is no one under the EFF government who will be disabled and without a house. Disabled people are few and we can build houses for all of them.”

Still on the housing matter Malema said that the EFF will build 3 bedroomed houses with a dining room and an indoor toilet. Not only that, the land in which those houses are built will be spacious for future extensions. He said, “We want to give you houses that restore dignity.”

EFF’s campaigning this year has placed its emphasis on land, jobs and loadshedding. The CIC alluded to the fact that people need jobs and that non-operational factories surrounding Kagiso will be opened and owned by the people of the area where jobs will be created.   “We must go fight for jobs. Our people need jobs”.

Malema stressed that all children in South Africa should get free quality education from creche to university despite their family background. He also said that NSFAS will be cancelled and a new, fair way of giving students allowance will be created.

A pressing issue that is common and greatly affects the residents of Kagiso is that of drugs which Malema says it will be a thing of the past once they take over the government. He said that police should stop working with criminals and instead use those addicted to drugs to get to those who sell them.  He said, “only the EFF can stop crime in Kagiso.”

Law and order are promised to be restored by the EFF as well as the economy given back to the people.

Malema assured the people of Mogale City that dignity and fairness will be what they will get from the EFF. “Fighters we must make sure that every house has clean water and electricity. Electricity is not luxury, it’s a basic necessity.” Encouraged the EFF leader.

The community of Mogale City was requested by the party leader to take charge on the 29th of May as they cast their votes. “My suffering ends today,”  are the words Malema asked the voters to say inside the voting booths as they vote.

Lastly, Malema asked them to refrain from drinking alcohol on the day saying that it’s an important day and should be observed sober. “The real freedom is coming on the 29th of May. What was promised in 1994 will be achieved in 2024.” concluded the president of the party.

Focalistic graces the community of Mogale City with a satisfying performance.
